Data Analysis Boot Camp

Email this Page    Print-Friendly Version

Summary:
The Data Analysis Boot Camp will prepare functional managers, business practitioners and analysts to finally make sense of data analysis, communicate more effectively, and take control of the analytic process. This course develops core skills for business analytics and lays the foundation for data-intensive analytic projects that deliver insight, clarity, confidence and sound decision support.

The course outline uses a flight school metaphor to apply meaningful context to a practice that is seemingly cryptic. The aviation framework is also very effective at conveying an organized, methodical approach to data analysis. Unlike any other analytic or statistical training, this course maintains a decision strategy focus with a balanced depth of technical detail that allows attendees to transfer their skills effectively to their own projects.

The Data Analysis Boot Camp is intended to: 1) build core capabilities for those new to business analytics; 2) strengthen the functional manager’s understanding of core methods to interact more effectively with analysts; 3) provide a more functional, streamlined and pragmatic mindset for analysts with classical statistical training; and 4) serve as a launching point for those wishing to proceed into more advanced analytics initiatives with greater traction. This course is designed to unify the analytic project team by addressing common limitations in each role, allowing all to collaborate effectively.

The structure of the course assumes no prior experience in statistics. However, the “boot camp” approach maintains an aggressive pace in the presentation of content.

Duration:
2 Days
