Summary:
This 3-day course offers training towards a free-standing Service Design qualification, but is also one of the Lifecycle modules leading to the ITIL® Expert qualification. The course covers all aspects of Service Design and is based upon the ITIL V3 core book of the same name. A 90-minute multiple-choice exam is included with the cost of the course.

NOTE: Students must be able to provide proof of ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management or V2 to V3 bridge equivalent and successfully complete this course in order to take the exam offered as part of this course.

The target group of the ITIL® Expert Qualification: Service Design Certificate is:

All IT Staff, system and network administrators, application design and support staff, managers and executives who are responsible for the delivery and support of IT services in an organization. The course will be of particular interest to staff working or managing an IT Service Design role or wishing to include this module as part of their ITIL expert qualification
Individuals seeking the ITIL® Expert in IT Service Management for which this qualification is one of the six prerequisite modules
Individuals seeking progress towards the ITIL® Advanced Level Certification for which the ITIL® Expert is a prerequisite

Topics:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the managerial and supervisory issues regarding IT Service Design processes and activities
  • Be able to understand the important interfaces between Service Design and the other stages within the ITIL Service Lifecycle
  • Be prepared to sit the formal ITIL Service Design examination

Prerequisites:
Existing holder of an ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management or V2 to V3 bridge equivalent
It is recommended that Candidates should have obtained and read the syllabus recommended sections of the ITIL V3 Service Design book and conducted at least 21hrs of personal study prior to attending class
NOTE: A pre-course study kit will be provided to Candidates approximately 4-6 weeks before the start date of the class
