Summary
This course teaches the participant the skills necessary to ensure the reliability, availability and serviceability of their company's AIX servers and enterprise systems. It provides detailed information about key components of the AIX 6 operating system, such as the Object Data Manager (ODM), the Logical Volume Manager (LVM) and the kernel. It also teaches the participant how to deal with failed hardware, such as replacing disks without the loss of system uptime. Finally, the course describes procedures for using Workload Partitions (WPARs) as a means of providing greater system availability.
Prerequisites
Students should have experience as an AIX 6 system administrator.
