Designing and Documenting User Interactions

The title of this talk, literally, best describes what to expect from this awesome presentation for SFHTML5. Darcy Clarke, an award winning front-end developer, designer, and sometimes business person, discusses “designing and documenting user interactions.” His conversation emphasizes the importance of writing good documentation, the value of style guides, while never losing site of the end goal of creating good user experiences.

Darcy's resume includes freelance work for a number of impressive companies, he co-founded Themify, and he takes a holistic approach to problem solving. Often times, according to the description on SFHTML5's meetup page, "developers focus on documenting functionality in JavaScript while leaving out critical HTML/CSS implementations and states." Darcy addresses this issue and dives into new tools and conventions, that any front-end team can implement easily, in order to become more transparent about their thinking, architecture, and design.
