Rust, Julia and Go: Disruptive New Programming Languages Changing the Face of Computing

The IT landscape has changed dramatically in the last few decades in terms of the scale of projects, amount of processing required, hardware capability and more demanding performance requirements. Three new languages - Go from Google, Rust from Mozilla and Julia from MIT - are the leaders of the new generation of programming languages that are specifically designed to keep the best of the legacy languages but are re-engineered from the ground up to meet the challenges of the modern wired world.

This previously recorded presentation introduces these languages and explores why they are exploding in popularity by looking at the real-world issues and problems they are being used to solve from AI and Big Data, to systems programming and rapid application development.
