Speaking in Tongues: How Eventbrite Internationalized

When Eventbrite launched internationally, they transitioned from a simple site with maybe some translations, to a much more advanced site that detects where you are and feeds you information relevant to the locale you are coming from.

Nathan Yergler, Principle Engineer at Eventbrite, was part of the developer team contributing to the effort to go global. In this talk, he explains how Eventbrite adapted their code base for internationalization, and discusses some of the things he thinks were unique about their particular challenge.

This is part 1/6 in a series on Advanced Django Patterns at Eventbrite and Lanyrd. You can find the complete series in this post.
