CA Detector® for DB2 for z/OS and CA Subsystem Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS are Db2 database performance management products that evaluate and manage application performance. CA Detector® for DB2 for z/OS provides in-depth analysis capabilities that help you identify the programs, SQL statements, and database objects that most significantly affect your Db2 performance. CA Subsystem Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS accelerates database performance tuning and analysis by providing the ability to analyze object activity at the database, tablespace, table, index, data set, and data set extent levels and evaluate getpage activity, physical I/O activity, and buffer pool hit ratios for all tablespaces and indexspaces referenced on your subsystem. This course will show you how to set up collection profiles and run a collection. You will also learn how to view the collected information from various perspectives and how to initiate an explain (when licensed for CA Plan Analyzer® for DB2 for z/OS) from within CA Detector® for DB2 for z/OS. The basics of generating reports and unloading data in batch are also covered.
