The constantly changing states of started tasks, subsystems, and other resources, and the dependency of the state of one resource on the state of another resource, cause challenges in managing the mainframe environment.
CA OPS/MVS System State Manager (SSM) automates and controls the state management of system resources such as started tasks, JES initiators, VTAM nodes, and so on, simplifying the management of critical resources. This course provides you with an understanding of how to implement SSM in your environment to manage system resources, specifically Started Tasks (STCs). At the end of this training, you will be able to perform basic SSM implementation to manage critical system resources.
This course is also available as part of CA OPS/MVS Event Management and Automation r12.x: System State Manager 200 Bundle.
