Training Summary
This course will utilize a combination of instructor-led discussions and interactive workshops to illustrate the features and functions of Web Intelligence v4 from perspective of Crystal Reports. This seminar will focus on: migration strategies for Crystal Reports, comparison of Crystal Reports and Webi, architecture and concepts of Webi, menu and ribbon structure, overview of user interface and a comparison of basic features; charts,3D charts, conditional criteria, sorting, report breaks, combined queries, format controls, alerts, using data sources, rankings, role of personal and custom data providers.
Prerequisites
Each student should have an understanding of Crystal Reports prior to taking this course.

This course is ideal for all individuals that will be migrating Crystal Reports documents to SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence v4.
Course Topics
  • Illustrate basic architecture and components of Web Intelligence v4
  • Depiction of differences between Crystal Reports and Webi toolset; ad hoc versus scheduled, grouped reports, use of parameterized data, report templates, report filtering, use of prompts and integration of formulas
  • Understand the types of charts and graphs (Tag Cloud, Tree, Box, Bubble, etc)
  • Illustrate the use of conditional criteria in a query
  • Use a variety of sort options for sequencing report rows
  • Illustrate differences between tables, cross-tabs, and free cells in report documents
  • Depict usage of complex conditional criteria
  • Use the Union, Minus, and Intersect operators to develop combined queries
  • Use report breaks and ranking methods
  • Demonstrate the use of Alerts and SubAlerts
  • Using input control values
  • Illustrate data formatting abilities of Webi compared to Crystal Reports
