This class covers DB2 physical design topics for DB2 DBAs, application developers and designers. The emphasis is placed on proven design techniques that assure high performance for DB2 applications. Special emphasis is given to access path topics and concurrency to allow applications people to become self-sufficient with respect to application performance issues. At the end of the course, the most important on-line and batch issues are summarized.
Prerequisites
Students should have at least three, preferably 9-12 months development experience with DB2.
