Training Summary
This course focuses on best practices for proper design, coding and maintenance techniques. Students will discuss creation of tables, views and indexes. They will identify advantages of RI, including impacts of delete rules, check constraints and triggers. They will code complex joins and subqueries. They will use CASE and CAST functions, as well as a number of scalar SQL functions. They will understand the use of User-Defined Data Types and User-Defined Functions. They will code advanced SQL constructs, such as recursive SQL and table expressions. Students will also identify the impact of Materialized Query Tables (MQTs), as well as temporary Global tables. They will use some of the OLAP features of Db2 , such as GROUPing, and RANKing functions. This course includes features up to and including version 13 of Db2 for z/OS.
