Essential of Business Analysis describes the role of the Business Analyst and provides a detailed examination of many of the most common Business Analysis practices. After reviewing core concepts, participants engage in numerous hands-on exercises in order to learn commonly used tools and techniques. Topics include analysis in support of strategic planning; techniques used to define proposed projects; project requirements development, validation, management and communication; and numerous additional ways that Business Analysts commonly support a project. Although the focus is largely on waterfall style projects, the BA role in both waterfall and agile projects is discussed.
This course assumes that participants have participated in some projects and have some understanding of one or more business analyst roles.
