The course is a one-day workshop in setting up and using a project documentation and repository system for capturing and managing the changing requirements of a system using Rational RequisitePro. The course emphasizes how a managed approach to requirements management will contribute to project success. This is a hands-on course with exercises and activities to help users apply Requirements Management concepts. The student gains a general understanding of how to use RequisitePro to manage project scope by understanding requirement attributes and using traceability. The student also learns to assess the impact of the changing requirements of a project. Users of Rational RequisitePro will benefit from taking this introductory course, which provides a basic familiarity with the RequisitePro product for creating and managing requirements that are used throughout the lifecycle of a project.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites required for this course, but it is recommended that students have attended the Requirements Management with Use Cases course. Students must have a solid understanding of requirements management and software development lifecycle.
