Excel 2016 (Custom for US Dept of the Interior)

This course provides tips and tricks for working efficiently in Excel 2016
To ensure success, students will need to be familiar with and have some experience using Microsoft Excel. Students should also be comfortable working in the Windows 10 environment and be able to use Windows 10 to manage information on their computers. Specific tasks the students should be able to perform include: opening and closing applications, navigating basic file structures, and managing files and folders.

This course is intended for students who wish to gain a foundational understanding of how to create and work with electronic spreadsheets.
  • Enter, edit, clear cell contents
  • Insert, delete, and adjust columns and rows
  • Create worksheet formulas
  • Perform calculations using AutoSum

  • Renaming worksheet tabs
  • Add headers and footers (with page titles and page numbering)
  • Preview and print a workbook
  • Use the AutoFill feature
