Summary
This workshop is a two-week hands-on training that provides students with the skills necessary to implement advanced applications using Business Process Framework. Intended as a jump start for customers who have a familiarity with business process design but want to quickly leverage BPF to automate business processes. This workshop contains a substantial number of labs designed to provide students with practical experience in configuring, testing, and troubleshooting a BPF solution. The course requires experience in process design as well as technical skills in advanced configuration. The ability to create and troubleshoot SQL queries is a huge plus when working with BPF.
Prerequisites
-Basic operating system administration skills (how to check logs, troubleshoot errors etc)-Intermediate database knowledge (ability to use administrative tools to access the database, read logs, and an understanding of SQL queries)-Experience working with computers and Networks-Experience with Active Directory or LDAP applications-Familiarity with IBM FileNet P8 architecture -Must have attended P8 Administration training-FileNet BPM Designer training is a plus

Audience
The course material assumes a working knowledge and experience with FileNet P8. However, this course plays to a broad audience. The course is recommended for analysts, architects, and developers though not all resources may be able to complete all labs.

- Discussion of basic P8 structures such as document classes, custom objects, and workflows with a focus on how these entities support a BPF solution

- Review the BPF inbasket and its sections and tools
- Importing maps, and configuring BPF metadata (fields, actions, queues, filters, pick-lists, etc)
