IMPACT Overview: Understanding WebSphere 7.0

Understanding WebSphere 7.0 is a lecture and WebSphere demonstration designed to provide project stakeholders with an in-depth review of WebSphere's capabilities, runtime and administrative architectures, and best practices. Students will explore these topics in detail and discover how they integrate into enterprise solutions and architectures.IBM WebSphere Application Server V7.0 (WAS 7.0) is IBM's high-performance and extremely scalable transaction engine for dynamic e-business applications. WAS 7.0 provides a service-oriented infrastructure that supports the emerging practices and technologies related to Service-Oriented Architectures and Web Services. Students should have a minimum of 2 years experience in the IT industry. A basic understanding of software development and web-based applications is necessary. Actual development experience is helpful but not necessary.
