Linux for Power Users

Summary
This course provides students with skills that target productivity in the Linux environment and includes hands-on lab exercises that reinforce the learning experience. Students will learn to use a variety of Linux utilities, such as appointment and contact databases, communications tools and programs for job scheduling. Students will also learn how to communicate with other users and systems using a variety of TCP/IP utilities.
Prerequisites
Students must have basic Linux skills, such as the ability to log in, navigate the file system hierarchy, perform basic file and process management tasks, and use the vi editor and basic features of the shell.
