Managing Performance and Metrics

PT0701
Summary
"It's easier if I do it myself!" However, as a manager, supervisor, or team leader, you can't do it all yourself. You depend on others to fulfill their job responsibilities and to help the team achieve its goals. An effective leader is able to motivate everyone to work towards the goals and objectives that will help the organization achieve its mission. An effective leader also determines the metrics against which the goals and objectives are measured, to ensure that each team member is on track and making progress. When we are not on track, decisions need to be made. Every problem is a chance to learn something new and to examine an issue in a different way. Managers need to have a toolkit of creative techniques that they can use in solving problems and making decisions. This workshop will teach you how to set SMART objectives (specific, measureable, achievable, relevant, time-bound) with your staff, align those objectives with the corporate mission, and measure employees' progress towards achieving those goals. You will learn 20 different qualitative and quantitative techniques that will help you to make the right decision when adjustments need to be made. In addition, you will learn the skills of team building, to ensure that you gain consensus for your decisions
