CA Merge/Modify™ for DB2 for z/OS accelerates image copy and recovery processes, conserves CPU resources, and streamlines backup and recovery procedures without impacting Db2 systems, applications, or data availability. It merges full and incremental copies with information from the Db2 active and archive log datasets, creating a fully consistent image copy, while providing full data access.
This course is designed to help you understand and utilize the core functions of these products. You will learn how to reduce the time and effort spent on routine tasks, how to accelerate the recovery process, how to create up-to-date copies, without adversely impacting online availability of the tables, and how to implement the recovery procedures that work best for your business. The learning experience is enhanced by hands-on self-paced lab exercises.
