Training Summary
This extended course is designed to give an Oracle DBA a firm foundation with the Oracle10g database. It covers the architecture of the Oracle database and how the components work and interact with one another. Participants learn the major responsibilities of the database administrator such as how to create and manage users, implement data security, and create startup, and shutdown a database. Students will understand various components and options used to configure the Oracle server. Participants will also learn how to manage logical and physical storage structures and give access to data and system privileges to users and roles. Optimization techniques are emphasized throughout the course.
Prerequisites
Students should have experience with SQL and SQL*Plus, PL/SQL and Relational Database Design Concepts.
