This course will introduce the student to the changes and enhancements available in Oracle Corporation's latest release - Oracle 8i. Enhancements to the relational side of Oracle 8 such as partitioning, materialized views, and new types of indexes will be discussed. Object oriented technology will also be introduced as well as the new features of the database which support object orientation. This course contains new features of both 8.0 and 8i.
Prerequisites
The student should have prior experience with an Oracle 7 database.
