Training Summary
This three-day class covers the use and administration of Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13c. Oracle Cloud Control delivers centralized management functionality for the complete Oracle IT infrastructure, including systems running Oracle and non-Oracle applications, however, this class will focus on the tasks primarily done by DBAs. A focus on database management and alerting will be provided. Students will gain knowledge on the configuration and monitoring of the Oracle Cloud Control framework. The student will also learn how to monitor and manage Oracle and non-Oracle applications. Hands-on lab exercises help students learn how use the robust features of Cloud Control to manage, monitor, and administer their data center and databases. This course is designed for the DBA, system designer or system architect who is familiar with the Oracle database. The student will also learn how to apply industry “best practices” in implementing, monitoring, and managing Oracle Cloud Control in an enterprise environment.
Prerequisites
The student must be familiar with Oracle 10g/11g/13c databases and have the following skills and experience:
  • A general understanding of the Application Server
  • Familiarity with Application Server Control or Database Control
  • Knowledge of fundamental Linux commands (such as ls and cp) and a Linux text editor
  • Oracle Database 10g: Administration
