Training Summary
This class is designed to teach experienced Oracle DBAs what they need to know to manage Oracle10g on Linux. DBAs will learn the key features of the Linux environment and how an Oracle10g database needs to be configured on Linux. Configuration, monitoring and management issues will be covered. Students will learn how to tune and monitor an Oracle10g database for maximum performance. Basic and advanced Linux commands will be reviewed. Oracle10g DBAs will determine file system choices, manually configure an Oracle database, setup automated startup and shutdown scripts and configure the network. Students will setup and configure the Oracle Enterprise Manager on Linux. The class contains hands-on practices designed to walk the student through the entire installation, tuning and configuration process. Linux has definitely arrived as a key Oracle platform when major companies are looking at running Oracle on Linux for advanced configurations. If you are going to be running Oracle10g on Linux this is the class for you.

Students must have previous experience managing an Oracle database or have taken the Oracle10g DBA Administration I course.
