Training Summary
Program Management Essentials is an instructor-facilitated, learning course where participants not only learn about what sets program management apart from project management, they also will apply the lessons through hands-on team exercises. Topics covered in this session will be delivered through the five phases of program management: pre-program setup, program setup, establishing a program management and technical infrastructure, delivering incremental program benefits, and closing the program.This course will benefit practitioners who manage large-scale projects and programs through illustrating advanced tools and techniques applicable to the program management discipline. Closely aligned with the Project Management Institute's (the PMI) Standard for Program Management (3rd Edition, 2013), participants will have the opportunity to apply lessons learned through relevant program management case studies.
Prerequisites
Prior to attending this course, it is recommended that students take The Essentials of Project Management course.
