Adobe RoboHelp is an authoring and publishing solution that allows for help content delivery on the iPad and other tablets, smart phones, and desktop units in output formats ranging from multi-screen HTML5, WebHelp, CHM, Adobe AIR Help, PDF, eBook, and native mobile apps. The RoboHelp Essentials course is designed for the beginner to intermediate RoboHelp user and will teach you the essential skills needed to create and deliver user assistance (Help systems, policies and procedures, and knowledge bases). You will learn to create RoboHelp projects from scratch and to add content via importing from Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, PDFs, and HTML. You’ll learn to enhance content with graphics, DHTML, and multimedia and to improve content navigation by adding hyperlinks, indexes, and glossaries. You’ll improve your production efficiency by learning about cascading style sheets, variables, snippets, and master pages. You’ll also learn how to control the look of the final output via Skins. This class is fully interactive, as you will be able to speak with and hear from the instructor and other students as you work in real time to complete activities within the software. While not a requirement, some students find it helpful to attend this class using two computer monitors. This will allow for one screen to always display the instructor's screen, and the other for you to use as you follow along with the instructor. The lessons outlined comprise activities typically covered in a class of this skill level. The instructor may, at the instructor's discretion, alter the lesson plan to meet the needs of the class participants.
