Fundamentals and objectives of system security; authentication and encryption network basics; communication, TCP/IP, ports; routing, firewalls, proxies, SAProuter; security in the SAP system; authentication and passwords; auditing as intrusion detection; RFCs, trusted RFCs, RFC destinations; encryption, SNC; cryptography basics, PKI, TCS, digital signatures; SAP NetWeaver application server, ICM; encryption, SSL, SNC; authentication, certificates, single sign-on; logon tickets, X.509, SSL.
Prerequisites
Students should understand the basic administrative tasks required in a production environment - SAP logon and logon groups, system configuration, user administration and authorization concept, remote connection, software maintenance, connecting printers and printing assistant for landscapes (PAL), fundamentals of system monitoring. Detailed knowledge around the architecture of SAP NetWeaver Application Server (SAP NetWeaver AS) - navigation of SAP systems, SAP NetWeaver Application Service architecture, and overview of SAP development environment is also required.
