This course teaches students how to most effectively be prepared to test iOS apps. The basics of Swift are taught to the student so they know how to write good unit tests. They’ll also be exposed to the concepts and frameworks of iOS. This helps them best understand what is being used in the functionality and UI. These three pieces, Swift, iOS and Unit Testing, allows them the best insight into the development and also prepares them for good Unit Testing.
The course consists of some lecture/discussion with many demos, interactive/follow-along exercises, labs and projects. The goal is to have the students get as much “hands on” experience as possible. But to ensure that it is educated experience and not just “going through the motions.”
Before taking this course, you should have OOP experience in Java, Objective-C, C#, or C++ and macOS experience. Students ideally should all have a similar level of programming experience
