Training Summary
This course is designed to provide technical knowledge for system administrators or system programmers who have basic WMQ knowledge. This course provides Version 6 updates and other advance features of WMQ. Three common platforms will be covered with attention on Z/OS. This course also provides hands-on setup and tailoring of queue managers. A lot of emphasis is given to the connection of multiple queue managers and the control of recovery of channels and queue manager in clustering and disaster recovery situations. Common problem determination technigues is discussed with examples using MQ supplied tools. This course covers materials that are required for taking IBMs certification.
Prerequisites
Students must have experience in one of the three operating systems, one of z/OS, OS/390, UNIX (AIX, HP or SUN Solaris, LINUX), or Windows (2000, XP or 2003). Knowledge of databases or transaction management is desirable.
